Wedding and COVID-19
The old adage that opposites attract holds true for David and Karl. A chance meeting of two boys on a cold and dark fall night morphed into two men building a future together.
Both of us are stubborn and hard headed, but one is emotional and reactive the other is reserved and calm. One is a numbers guy and the other is a techie. One loves clothes, designer labels, and bling, the other is a minimalist, a jeans and t-shirt kind of guy. One loves the sand and sunshine, the other the cold and snow. But through it all…some how and some way we fit and compliment each other. Each allows the other to maintain their ways, accepts and embraces them. Our differences make us work…makes us stronger!
Travelling with someone is always a delicate proposition…it only took 2 months for Karl to invite David to Merida, Mexico for Christmas.
Our travelling adventures continue…
The glamour and glitz, the Hollywood sign and nightlife, the shopping and star stalking. LA truly has it all. The moment we landed in LA, it became home. As always, family opened their doors and hearts to host and cater to our every whim.
Always an adventure with the two of us, from fine dining, to lazy days on the beach, to a trip down Rodeo Drive, exploring Santa Monica and food… lots and lots of food.
Days at the beach are simple, eat, swim, relax, and enjoy the peace and tranquility that comes with family and friends. Its mornings spent at the Mercado, evenings spent at the hole in the wall taco restaurant. Easters spent in the town square having pizza and churros. Sitting and listening to the waves crash, walking along the malecón. It’s a different way of life and one that is so enticing.
look at the silly things we do and the fun we have
Who said iPhones can't swim?
Look at us being captured by ours, in a cenote (a natural fresh water well in a cave), nothing more refreshing on a hot 37˚C day than undeground swimming
Don't get your panties get in a bunch! Well... I can wear them on my head instead.
There is this silly custom to exchange underwear on boxing day, you wear it on New Years day; every colour has a meaning, what is hard to explain is the urge to pose wearing it on our heads. Things that make you go hummmm...
Once a year we do it, we all do it
Ritz Carlton Toronto was made to go for a cocktail, or two or three but again, who is counting? ANY counterfit picture with these ladies can easily be spotted if Maria ain't holding a boob, her own or anyone else's. Laura! Oh my, you have grown a cup bigger!!!
The mothers... and the boys having a silly moment
Dining with them in Mérida at the Chaya Maya. Piñas Coladas for all until we get silly.
Wine me and dine me
Rich and famous in Paris go out to the Moulin Rouge, chic people in NYC meet a The Carlyle... we go to Prince Edward County for wine tasting during the day and The Drake to have dinner with friends, another pleasant day in Ontario, Canada. Someone has to do the hard things in life, we sacrifice.
In Memoriam
No one is truly gone until we stop remembering them. Cliff, dad, peanut gallery... so many memories he'll be with us for a long while stilll.
Believe it or not... by MacNeill
Getting brother-in-law in a picture, very hard. Getting brother-in-law to smile, unlikely. Capturing brother-in-law smiling in a selfie, beyond unattainable...
What is this then? Must be a positive omen.
No fuss no muss, sign the dotted line
One millon reasons will keep us together
Home sweet home
